CHARLES LYNCH – NORLINA, NC

A complete dispersal of (70) Angus cows – Herd 1 (40) cows average 7-yrs. , Herd 2 (30) cows 5 yrs. & younger, average wt. 1275#, calves are sired by Springfield Angus & Rock Hill Angus.  There will be 3-n-1, cow/calf pairs, splits,  groups of open replacement heifers & groups of steers.

Lots of volume, great udders & feet, plenty of length. Cattle have been on regular vaccination program – ViraShield, Blackleg, pour on dewormer,  Beef Breeder mineral, just enough feed to keep them coming to a feed bucket, kept in 1-strand electric fence, winter time hay & graze fescue in summer.

Also selling 5-yr. old Springfield Angus bull – minus 1.7 BW – Charles has never had to pull a calf sired by this bull.

History of this herd:  in the late 60’s A. L. “Bud” Meek, beef cattle representative for Lancaster Stockyards of Rocky Mount, NC, purchased (18) open Angus heifers from one farm in Edgecombe County & a registered Marshall bred Angus bull from D. S. Moss – Enfield, for Raby Traylor – Norlina, NC.  Raby bred these cattle & got one calf group from them, then sold them to Charles as bred 2nd calvers along with the bull in the early 70’s.  This is the foundation of the herd we are selling as no outside females have come to this herd since then.  If you want cattle that are adaptive to the southeast to do it on their own, here is your chance to buy commercial cattle with as much lineage behind them as you will find anywhere & a herd that has the breeding behind them that works.  They have good dispositions, as Charles & Margaret have spent  a lot of time with them as most of these cattle seem to really like people.  If you would like to view cattle @ the farm call Charles @ 252-425-6106.
