Directions:  From I-85, take Exit 204, go south on Hwy. 96 for 1.1 mile, turn left on Fairport Rd., go 2.4 miles, right on Cannady Mill Rd., sale ¼ mile on left @ Granville County Livestock Arena.  Also, from jct. of Hwy. 96 & 56 @ Wilton, take Hwy. 96 north 2 miles, turn right on Cannady Mills Rd., arena approx. 6 miles on right.  Watch for cattle auction arrows leading way to sale.

Selling (175) head of purebred & commercial Angus that consist of (20) 1^st calf heifer pairs, (20) bred heifers, (60) mature cows – 2^nd calvers & up – ¼ of these will sell as pairs, remaining selling as splits & 3-n-1,  (25) weaning size heifers, (8) weaning size bulls, (2) mature Springfield Angus herd sires, (4) 2-yr. old bulls, (4) 1 ½ yr. old bulls.  Marty started the herd in the 1980’s.   He started his herd by purchasing his first heifers from D. S. Moss – Enfield¸ NC.  He added females from J. R. Fowler – Wakelon Angus, Wehrmann Angus – New Market, VA,  Locust Level Farms – Mike McDowell,  & Springfield Angus – Louisburg, NC.  He used herd sires from Springfield Angus, Knollcrest Farms, & AI with a lot of the known leading sires. There are several Pathfinders in this herd. As time went along Marty was a partner with The Partners Sale – Roger Lane, J.F. Lancaster & Marty.  He had bulls on the NC Performance Bull Test Sale.  Marty used the following standards when selecting seed stock – growth, maternal ability, feet, calving ease, docility, and at the same time keeping in mind the hot humid southeast & available forages. Cattle are on an annual vaccination program, all foraged based wintered mostly on hay & protein tubs.   Two herds of these cattle have been on short forages & could carry a lot more body condition, therefore if you have feed supply come spring of year, you will see a big difference in them.  The herd across the road from Marty’s home have ample forages & are in   to come.  There comes a time to build & a time to disperse & Marty & Lynne have reached the time to disperse.

Internet Fees: 3% with $750.00 max per item. Minimum fee of $25.00 per item.

Methods of Payment Accepted: Checks with prior approval, cash or wire transfer. Wire transfer must be received by the auction company within 48 hours of the auction & will be an extra fee of $25.00. Credit Cards are NOT accepted and only used as a verification tool. Please contact the auction company for wire transfer instructions. 

Payment in full day of Sale. Any announcements at the time of auction or bidding will take precedence over material previously provided.

Auctioneer shall be the sole judge in determining the winning bidder in the event of a tie bid.

Transportation of livestock is the sole responsibility of the buyer.
