Directions: From I-85, take Exit 204, go south on Hwy. 96 for 1.1 mi., turn left on Fairport Rd., go 2.4 mi., right on Cannady’s Mill Rd., sale ¼ mi. on left @ Granville County Livestock Arena. Also from jct. of Hwy. 96 & 56 @ Wilton, take Hwy. 96 north 2 miles, turn right on Cannady’s Mill Rd., arena approx. 6 miles on right. Watch for cattle auction arrows leading way to sale.

(12) 1 ST Calf heifers, medium frame,   all w/calf @ side sired by Vandemark Kickboxer son, (2) of these heifers are BWF, others are Black, calves born – Dec. ’06, cattle should sale as 3-n-1 packages.   Also in this group 3-yr. old Angus bull that sells.

(9) 1 st calf heifers, (3) are BWF, (6) Black, at press time (6) calves on ground sired by Vandemark Kickboxer son.

These 2 herds of 1 st calf heifers w/babies are 5 ½ frame, 1000#, good udders & will continue to grow & produce calves at the same time.

(11) 15-month old Angus & Simmental X heifers – open, frame size 5 ½, all of these heifers out of Simmental X Angus dams, sired J.R. Fowler Angus bull.

(21) 16-month old Angus heifers out of Simmental & Angus dams, sired by J. R. Fowler & Knollcrest bulls, a 4-yr. old Leachman calving ease proven Simmental bull was put with these heifers on 12/27/06, this bull also sells & carries a Hairpin brand, this bull has a proven track record for Jarvis on   breeding to 1 st calf heifers.   A sharp set of heifers.

(37) cows –(2) Red baldies, (17) BWF, (18) Blacks, at press time (30) calves   all calves sired by Duck Edwards Simmental bull, frame of 6 ¼,   starting calving Jan. ’07,   (7) of these are 2 nd calvers, (14) are 4-yrs. old, (16) are 5 & 6-yr. old.

(51) Cows – (2) are Red Baldies, (20) BWF, (29) Blacks, October & November calvers, bred to 6-yr. old Duck Edwards Black Simmental bull, 18-month Duck Edwards Simmental/Angus bull, & 5-yr. old J. R. Fowler Angus bull, these bulls also sell, bull put with cows 12/27/06, (5) of these cows will sell as cow/calf pairs & could sell as 3-n-1, others will sell as bred fall calving cows, (14) of these cows are   3-yr. olds, (15) 4-yrs. old, (12) 5-yrs. old, (8) 6-yrs. old, (2) 8 – 10 yrs. old.

 

Approx. 12 years ago,   A. L. (Bud) Meek of Louisburg, NC came to one of   E. B.’s cattle sales in Oxford & bought a top notch set of open heifers for Jarvis (2 of these cows are still in the herd).   From these bloodlines, Jarvis has raised all of the above listed females by using some of the best bulls he could find.   Most of these cattle will be 6+ frame cattle that raise a stomp down good set of calves every year.   They are on an annual vaccination program.   If you are in need of good, top notch grass genetics, this is a herd that will be at the top of the scale of commercial cows you will find – in other words, this is a good set of cows..   Be Here Sale Day.
