Directions:   From I-85, take Exit 204, go south on Hwy. 96 for 1.1 mile, turn left on Fairport Rd., go 2.4 miles, right on Cannady’s Mill Rd., sale ¼ mile on left @ Granville County Livestock Arena.   Also from jct. of Hwy. 96 & 56 @ Wilton, take Hwy. 96 north 2 miles, turn right on Cannady’s Mills Rd., arena approx. 6 miles on right.   Watch for auction arrows leading way to sale.

LARRY LAWSON – MATTHEWS, VA – A complete Dispersal.

(18) cows consisting of (11) Angus, (2) BWF, (3) Brangus X, (2) Angus Simmental X, cows average 6–yrs. of age, 11 have calves from newborn to 5 months old, 6 due to calve any time, large frame cattle, in excellent condition. (3) open Black heifers, 18-months of age that are strapping big heifers.   Also selling Herd sire – ’03 model registered Angus, Butner Performance Test Station winner, sired by J R Something Special, an excellent bull that will be able to handle a large number of cows in a short period of time, you will like him – he is thick with plenty of barrel.

Note:   we will sell all of Larry’s farm equipment in Wilson, NC on Monday 14 th January.

GUS DAEKE – NORLINA, NC

(35) commercial purebred Angus cows, these cows will average 1050#, all bred to Angus bulls, medium frame cows, 2 nd calvers & up.   have only been fed grass, hay, salt & water, cattle are very forage efficient.   The bloodlines of these cattle date back to Leon Perry & the Circle P.   If you want some cows that will make it off what grows out of the earth, these merit your attention.

(14) Black & BWF cows, average weight 900#, age average   6-yrs. old, some will have new baby @ side, rest will calve shortly.   These cattle are coming off short grass, with a little bit of feed they will have a lot of come out.

(12) Angus based cows due to calve in March & April, bred to Angus bulls, cattle are in good condition, average frame 5 ½ , average weight – 1150#.   Louis is having a dispersal of his spring calving cattle as he is moving to fall calving program.

LEONARD POWELL – EMPORIA, VA.

(28) cows -   75% of these cows are Black & BWF , few Smokes, (1) Red Baldie, 8 of these are 1 st calf heifers, (20) have calf from month old to 500#,   cattle are bred to Angus bulls, 5 frame size, average weight – 1000#,   purebred Angus bull.

Leonard is having a complete dispersal of cattle due to health reasons.

(23) Angus & Angus X cows, 21 of these cows will have new babies @ side, medium frame, forage based cattle.

(11) Angus cows– 5 have new baby @ side, others due anytime, average age 6-yrs.,

good body condition, average wt. 1150#,give a lot of milk for the calves.

Other Cattle:   (20) Angus & Angus Gelbvieh X cows & (2) Hereford , 8 of them have babies @ side, others due up any time, these cows are medium flesh, weigh 1150#, 6 frame, all bred to Angus bulls, average 6-yrs. of age – a little feed will really change the looks of these cows.

Selling (4) Brangus bulls, 2-yrs. of age, thick, been developed on coastal Bermuda pasture, clean underneath, easy dispositions, plenty of height & length, make some excellent cross on commercial cows, will produce good females that will work well in the hot, humid southeastern states, easy calvers.
